Tanzania

Colombe used her loan to buy hairdryers and equipment for a small hairdressing salon on the outskirts of Iringa, creating jobs for both herself and her mum. She  some used some of the profits to continue her education by paying for vocational training. having repaid her loan, she expanded the business by stocking hair products to sell to clients.

Angelo

Angelo had some metalworking equipment and knew there was plenty of demand for gates, window grilles and furniture, but with no money for materials, and no prospect of a bank loan, he couldn’t get started. A small loan from our partners in Tanzania solved this problem; he rented a workshop and built a successful business. He also trained two college students in metalworking.

Stephen

Stephen used his loan to buy a better sewing machine. He expanded his business from dressmaking alone to household items. He is now successfully selling cushion covers and household linens as well as dresses and his income has increased.
